Broadcasting Christmas (2016)

My Review

Dean Cain and Melissa Joan Hart play two news broadcasters, who were previously romantically involved, compete for the same position of a morning talk show host. Despite their professional rivalry at Christmas time, they ultimately rediscover what made them like each other in the first place. Director Peter Sullivan and teleplay writers Michael Varrati and Topher Payne put together this watchable made-for-television movie that aired on the Hallmark Channel in November, 2016.

Cain and Hart have wonderful chemistry on this archetype Hallmark holiday product. The supporting cast includes Jackee Harry, Cynthia Gibb, Richard Kline, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Joanna Howard, Sophie von Haselberg, Joyce Cohen, and Omar Muhammed as Bo. “Broadcasting Christmas” is a watchable movie from producer Melissa Joan Hart, Hybrid, Heartbreak Films, and Barry Barnholtz Productions. It was filmed in Connecticut.
