Bullet Train (2022)

My Review

“Bullet Train” is an action-adventure film with strong comedic elements. Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock head a cast confined to a Japanese bullet train filled with hitmen trying to assassinate one another. Director David Leitch (“Atomic Blonde” 2017) did a good job of making this picture work, which has a far-fetched premise and could have disintegrated into confusion. The outstanding screenplay by Zak Olkewicz was adapted from the 2010 Japanese novel “Maria Beetle” by Kotaro Isaka.

This is the second movie this year featuring Pitt and Bullock, the first being “The Lost City.” Co-stars include Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, and Masi Oka as the train conductor. The watchable “Bullet Train” was popular at the box office for Columbia Pictures, 87North Productions, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was filmed at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California.
