Charlie’s Angels (2019)

My Review

Producer-director-writer Elizabeth Banks has given us a new and lively version of “Charlie’s Angles.” It is basically the same story of three young Angels hired to fight crime as on the old television show (1976-1981). The newbies are Kristen Stewart, Naomi Campbell, and Ella Balinska.

Elizabeth Banks is also in the cast as the new “Bosley” giving instructions to our girls over the phone. Co-stars are Djimon Hounsou, Patrick Stewart, San Clafin, Noah Cenineo, Chris Pang, and Jaclyn Smith (an original Angel) in a cameo appearance. With an easy-to-follow plot and tons of action, “Charlie’s Angels” is fun and watchable entertainment, a modest hit at the box office for Columbia Pictures, 2.0 Entertainment, Brownstone Productions, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was filmed in Germany and Turkey.
