A new musical version of “Cinderella” is out in theaters. This latest version is brilliantly written and directed by Kay Cannon (“Blockers” 2018), featuring popular musical numbers and some original songs by Mychael Danna and Jessica Weiss. It was adapted from the 1697 book “Cendrillon” by Charles Perrault.
Camila Cabello does an amazing job in the title role, especially considering this is her motion picture debut. Co-stars include Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Pierce Brosnan, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, Beverly Knight, and Doc Brown as the town crier. The watchable “Cinderella” was a flop at the box office for Columbia Pictures, Fulwell 73, and Amazon MGM Studios. It was filmed in England, UK.
