Creed III (2023)

My Review

Michael B. Jordan makes an impressive directorial debut with a movie that he stars in called “Creed III.” Jordan skillfully guided the making of this third film about boxer Adonis “Donnie” Johnson in a skillful manner that holds the audience’s attention for nearly two hours. The well written screenplay was penned by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin.

The supporting cast includes Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, Jose Benavidez Jr., Selenis Leyva, Tony Bellew, and Phylicia Rashad returning in her role as Mary Ann Creed, Donnie’s mother.

The story of Apollo Creed’s son Donnie Creed defending his title is a continuation of the “Rocky” films, with Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan served as two of the movie’s producers. “Creed III” has done well at the box office, much to the glee of Jordan, Stallone, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and Warner Bros. Pictures.
