My Review

“Dark Waters” is a legal thriller about a corporate attorney who risks his career to expose a massive cover-up of pollution by the chemical giant DuPont. Director Todd Haynes (“Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story” 1987) put together a riveting legal thriller with good acting and a lucid screenplay by Mario Correa and Matthew Michael Carnahan.

The cast includes Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp, Mare Winningtam, Bill Pullman, William Jackson Harper, and Louisa Krause. The watchable “Dark Waters” barely broke even at the box office for producer Mark Ruffalo, Participant Media, Killer Content, and Focus Features. It was filmed in Cincinnati, Ohio.
