Deep Cover (2025)

My Review

“Deep Cover” is a British action-comedy movie telling the story of three improve actors recruited by police for undercover work in London’s criminal underworld. They soon discover they are in over their heads as they run into unexpected difficulties. Director Tim Kingsley (“The Darkest Universe” 2016) put together a so-so film that holds the audience’s attention for much of the one hundred minute running time. The script was penned by Colin Trevorrow, Derek Connolly, Ben Ashenden, and Alexander Owen.

The stars of the show are Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Nick Mohammed as the three actors, with co-stars Ian McShane, Sean Bean, Paddy Considine, Sonoya Mizuno, Omid Djalili, Sophie Ducker, Susannah Fielding, and Katy Wix. The watchable “Deep Cover” was released in June, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Metronome Film Company, Parkes+MacDonald Image Nation, and Amazon MGM Studios.
