Dog Man (2025)

My Review

“Dog Man” is an animated superhero comedy film about a policeman and his dog who are injured in a terrible accident. A state-of-the-art surgery fuses them together to for Dog Man, a new superhero who immediately springs into action to stop feline villain Petey the Cat from going on a major crime spree. Director-screenwriter Peter Hastings (“The Country Bears” 2002) put together an entertaining film with lots of laughs and plenty of action sequences. It was adapted from the 2016 graphic novel of the same name by David Pilkey.

The voice cast is headed by Peter Hastings as Dog Man and Pete Davidson as Petey, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Root, Cheri Oteri, Lil Rey Howrey, Lucas Hopkins Calderon, Billy Boyd, Poppy Liu, Luenell, and Brian Hopkins. The watchable “Dog Man” was a big hit at the box office for DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures.
