Strange atmospherics and excessive amounts of fog make up the background of “Escape in the Fog.” This film noir tells the story of a nurse who dreams of a murder, and soon after meets the victim in real life. Is she able to foretell the future? Is she going crazy? Only screenwriter Aubrey Wisberg and director Budd Boetticher know for sure.
The often silly and consistently inconsistent plot is adequately directed by Boetticher. Cast members Otto Kruger, Nina Foch, William Wright, and Ernie Adams turn in good performances in what is basically a watchable B-movie film noir thriller “Escape in the Fog” from Columbia Pictures.
