Ghostbusters II (1989)

My Review

“Ghostbusters II” continues the story five years after the first film, with the team sued for property damages and barred from doing paranormal work. However, people once again begin experiencing harassment from ghosts and the team was forced to swing into action. Director Ivan Reitman (“Ghostbusters” 1984) kept the high quality of the first film from a marvelous screenplay by Harold Ramis and Dany Aykroyd.

The cast includes Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Peter MacNicol, Philip Baker Hall, Cheech Marin, Bobby Brown, Ben Stein, Max von Sydow (voice of Vigo the Carpathian), and David Margulies as the Mayor of New York City. “Ghostbusters II” was the eighth highest grossing film of 1989 for producer Ivan Reitman and Columbia Pictures. It was filmed in New York City and Los Angeles.
