God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness (2018)

My Review

“God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness” continues the story of Pastor Dave Hill as his church burns down. When the owner tries to evict the church from the grounds, Dave fights them in court with the help of his estranged and atheist brother. Director/screenwriter Michael Mason did a good job in this second sequel in the series, although the storyline may appear weaker due to abandoning the legal cliffhanger from the second film.

The cast includes David A. R. White as Rev. Hill, John Corbett as his brother, Ted McGinley and Tatum O’Neal as university board members, Benjamin Onyango as Pastor Jude, Cissy Houston as choir leader, Shane Harper as an ex-student, Jennifer Taylor as head of the soup kitchen, Jeanine Pirro as herself, and the Newsboys as themselves. The watchable “God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness” was a box office disappointment for producer David A. R. White and Pure Flix Entertainment. It was filmed in Arkansas.
