God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust (2024)

My Review

“God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust” is the fifth in the “God’s Not Dead” movie series and tells the story of Pastor David Hill making a decision to run for Congress. His opponent is aiming to erase religion from the public square, and the heavy drama proceeds from there. Director Vance Null and screenwriter Tommy Blaze put forth a lucid and intelligent film showing how the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, including ministers running for public office.

The cast includes Erick Stakelbeck, Ray Wise, Jennifer Van Horn, Dean Cain, Scott Baio, Charlene Tilton, Mike Huckabee, David A. R. White, Isaiah Washington, and Kevin Downes. This was the fifth and final in the faith-based film franchise – “God’s Not Dead” (2014), “God’s Not Dead 2” (2016), “God’s Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness” (2018), “God’s Not Dead: We the People” (2021), and “God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust” (2024).
