Greenland (2020)

My Review

“Greenland” is a science fiction disaster film which follows Gerard Butler and his family’s struggle to survive as a giant comet heads towards earth, threatening planet-wide destruction. Director Ric Roman Waugh (“Snitch” 2013) and screenwriter Chris Sparling have created a lucid and exciting motion picture with good production values, clear and concise writing, and believable performances. A fast-moving 119 minute running time.

Star Butler and director Waugh are reunited from 2019’s “Angel Has Fallen” with the high quality movie-making continuing here with “Greenland.” Co-stars include Scott Glenn, Hope Davis, Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, David Denman, King Bach, Holt McCallany, and Merrin Dungey as the Mayor. The watchable “Greenland” was a big hit at the box office for Thunder Road Films, Riverstone Pictures, and STXfilms. It was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
