Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015)

My Review

“Hello, My Name Is Doris” is a comedy film about about an older woman in her 60’s holding down a job and who has a crush on a man at least thirty years her junior. The comedy and some drama proceeds from there. This tour de force by Sally Field in the title role was well managed by director Michael Showalter (“The Baxter” 2005) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Laura Terruso.

The cast includes Sally Field, Stephen Root, Tyne Daly, Peter Gallagher, Max Greenfield, Kyle Mooney, Isabella Acres, and Beth Behrs. “Hello, My Name Is Doris” was a modest sleeper hit for Red Crown Productions, Stage 6 Films, Haven Entertainment, Roadside Attractions, and Sony Pictures Releasing International. It was filmed in New York and Los Angeles.
