Hot Pursuit (2015)

My Review

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara are featured in an action-comedy picture called “Hot Pursuit.” Witherspoon plays a strict cop who is assigned to escort the loud-mouthed wife of a drug kingpin (Vergara) to court to testify against her husband. Lots of laughs proceed from there, well directed by Anne Fletcher (“The Guilt Trip” 2012) from an acceptable script by David Feeney and John Quaintance.

The cast includes Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara, Jim Gaffigan, John Carroll Lynch, Robert Kazinsky, Michael Mosley, Michael Del Negro, and Richard T. Jones as the U. S. Marshall. “Hot Pursuit” was a box office bomb for producer Reese Witherspoon, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, New Line Cinema, and Warner Bros. Pictures. It was filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana.
