Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016)

My Review

“Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” has Jack Reacher going on the run with a falsely accused Army major to expose a military-industrial complex conspiracy. Director Edward Zwick (“Legends of the Fall” 1994) put together a predictable and formulaic sequel to “Jack Reacher” (2012). Whole sections of the movie were downright boring due to a poorly written screenplay he penned with Richard Wenk and Marshal Herskovitz.

The cast includes Tom Cruise, Colbie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh, and Robert Knepper as Gen. Harkness. “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” underperformed at the box office for Skydance Media, TC Productions, and Paramount Pictures. It was filmed in New Orleans, with no sequels planned.
