John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

My Review

Retired hitman John Wick is forced back into the criminal underworld to fulfill a blood oath for a mob boss in “John Wick: Chapter 2.” Director Chad Stahelski (“John Wick” 2014) and screenwriter Derek Kolstad put together a sequel which is able to stand alone as a fresh new film.

Keanu Reeves has matured into a formidable action star, a long way from the days of “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” (1989). Co-stars include Laurence Fishburne, Common, Riccardo Scamarcio, Lance Reddick, Peter Stormare, Franco Nero, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, Ian McShane, and Ruby Rose. The watchable “John Wick: Chapter 2” was a big hit at the box office for Summit Entertainment, Thunder Road Pictures, 87Eleven Entertainment, and Lionsgate Films.

It was filmed in New York City and Rome. The next in the series will be “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” (2019).
