“License to Kill” is a made-for-television crime drama film about a man who kills a teenage girl while driving under the influence of alcohol and evades legal prosecution, much to the frustration of the girl’s parents.
Drama inside and outside of the courtroom ensues in an engrossing manner, thanks to focused direction by Jud Taylor and a well penned teleplay by William A. Schwartz. Not a dull moment in this 96 minute TV movie that was originally broadcast on CBS in January, 1984.
The excellent cast includes James Farentino and Penny Fuller as the parents, Don Murray as the driver, and Denzel Washington as the persistent prosecutor. Others include Millie Perkins, Ari Meyers, Kirsten Vigard, and George Martin as Steve.
