My Review

“Lilo & Stitch” is a science fiction comedy movie about an alien from another planet who crash-lands on the island of Kauai. He disguises himself as a dog and is taken to an animal shelter, where he is adopted by a Hawaiian girl named Lilo Pelekai. The zany and wacky comedy proceeds from there, well directed by Dean Fleischer Camp (“Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” 2021), with the screenplay penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes. This film is a remake of Walt Disney’s 2002 animated film of the same name.

The cast includes Maia Kealoha as Lilo and Chris Sanders as the voice of Stitch, as well as Sydney Elizabeth Agudong, Amy Hill, Tia Carrere, Jason Scott Lee, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance, Hannah Waddingham, Kaipo Dudoit, Emery Hookano-Briel, and David H K Bell as the Big Hawaiian Dude. The very watchable and entertaining “Lilo & Stitch” is a smash hit at the box office for Walt Disney Studios, Rideback, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, and The Walt Disney Company. “Lilo & Stitch” has earned nearly one billion dollars in global box office, the second highest grossing film of 2025, so far.
