Lisa Frankenstein (2024)

My Review

The bottom of the cinematic barrel has been reached in 2024 with “Lisa Frankenstein.” This “romantic comedy horror” film is neither romantic, nor comedic, nor horrifying in any sense of the word. The story is about a teenage girl who develops a relationship with a revived Victorian corpse. They go on a journey together to find love and happiness and several missing body parts.

This is the product of first time director Zelda Williams (who happens to be daughter of Robin Williams). It is difficult to find a place to start at where this film goes wrong. The writing by Diablo Cody (also the producer) is terrible, the storyline and plot are stupid, the film has terrible production values, and the performances by the actors are, at best, mediocre.

The unwatchable “Lisa Frankenstein” was a big flop at the box office for producer Diablo Cody, MXN Entertainment, Lollipop Woods, Focus Features, and Universal Pictures.
