My Review

Gene Autry and the local townsfolk fall victim to greedy land developers in “Man from Music Mountain.” Beside the drama, there is plenty of music from Autry, Smiley Burnette, Carol Hughes, Sally Payne, and Polly Jenkins and her Plowboys. (Carol Hughes’ daughter Kay Faylen was Regis Philbin’s first wife.)

Other cast member include Earl Dwire, Lloyd Ingraham, Al Terry, Ivan Miller, Edward Cassidy, Lew Kelly, and Champion as Gene’s horse. “Man from Music Mountain” was a popular release from Republic Pictures, with hard work from director Joseph Kane and screenwriters Betty Burbridge and Luci Ward. It was filmed in Lone Pine and at the Iverson Ranch in Chatsworth, California.
