Mechanic: Resurrection (2016)

My Review

Jason Statham comes out of hiding in Brazil after faking his own death in the first film and gets into even more trouble in “Mechanic: Resurrection.” German director Dennis Gansel and screenwriters Philip Shelby and Tony Mosher make this quite a thrill-ride of a motion picture, sequel to “Mechanic” (2011).

The cast includes Jason Statham, Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones, Michelle Yeoh, and Sam Hazeldine. Cinematographer Daniel Gottschalk deserves honorable mention for beautiful location filming in Brazil, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bulgaria. “Mechanic: Resurrection” was modestly successful at the box office for Davis Films, Millennium Films, Summit Entertainment, and Lionsgate Films.
