Miss Sloane (2016)

My Review

Jessica Chastain delivers a tour de force performance in the political drama “Miss Sloane.” She plays a lobbyist determined to get tough gun control legislation through Congress. Director John Madden (“The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” 2011) and screenwriter Jonathan Perera have created an engrossing inside look into the world of Washington’s law-making process, a look primarily appreciated by political junkies.

The cast include Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, John Lithgow, Sam Waterston, Allison Pill, Christine Baranski, Dylan Baker, and Jake Lacy. “Miss Sloane” was a flop at the box office for EuropaCorp, FilmNation Entertainment, France 2 Cinema, and Entertainment One. It was filmed in Toronto.
