My Review

When a mysterious force begins to disrupt the Martha’s Vineyard summer vacation of Noah and his friends, they team up with a retired police detective to save their island in “Monster Summer.” Director David Henrie (“This is the Year” 2020) put together a fun teen horror film which is non-violent and slasher-free. The adequate and non-Shakespearean screenplay was penned by Cornelius Uliano and Bryan Schultz.

The cast includes Mason Thomas as Noah, Lorraine Bracco, Mel Gibson, Kevin James, Patrick Renna, Nora Zehetner, Lilah Pate, Julian Lerner, Noah Cottrell, and Abrielle Cincotti. The watchable “Monster Summer” was a flop at the box office for Wyoming Buffalo Studios and Pastime Pictures. It was filmed in North Carolina.
