My Review

“Motherless Brooklyn” is film noir crime drama directed and written by Edward Norton, who also starred in the show as a private detective in 1957 New York City investigating the death of a close friend. Norton did well with high production values, good performances, and excellent writing adapted from a 1999 novel of the same name by Jonathan Lethem. The outstanding soundtrack by Daniel Pemberton greatly contributed to the picture’s ambiance.

The heavyweight cast behind Edward Norton includes Bruce Willis, William Dafoe, Bobby Cannavale, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Cherry Jones, Leslie Mann, Fisher Stevens, and Ethan Suplee. The watchable “Motherless Brooklyn” was a box office bomb for producer Edward Norton, MWM Studios, Class 5 Films, and Warner Bros. Pictures. It was filmed in New York City.
