Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005)

My Review

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie play a married couple who are unaware that they are both hit men working for competing agencies in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” Things get dicey when they are both assigned to kill the same target. Director Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity” 2002) held a tight rein on this production, delivering generous amounts of drama and comedy, complex characters, intricate plot, and sharp dialogue from the material, a smartly-written screenplay by Simon Kinberg.

The supporting cast includes Adam Brody, Kerry Washington, Vince Vaughn, Keith David, Chris Weitz, Michelle Monaghan, Stephanie March, Jennifer Morrison, Perry Reeves, and Angela Bassett as the voice of Brad Pitt’s boss. The very watchable “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” was a big hit at the box office for Summit Entertainment, Regency Enterprises, Epsilon Motion Pictures, New Regency Productions, Weed Road Pictures, and 20th Century Fox. It was filmed in Pasadena and Los Angeles, California.
