My Dear Secretary (1948)

My Review

Kirk Douglas plays a famous author who cannot keep a secretary due to his unstable ways, until he hires Laraine Day to fill the job in “My Dear Secretary.” She soon discovers his faults and the comedy proceeds from there, well directed by Charles Martin, who also wrote the screenplay.

The cast includes Kirk Douglas, Laraine Day, Keenan Wynn, Helen Walker, Rudy Vallee, Florence Bates, Alan Mowbray, Irene Ryan, and Grady Sutton. “My Dear Secretary” was a modest success with the movie-going public for United Artists.
