The Best Picture of 2019 is…..”Parasite.” This South Korean film tells the riveting story of a poor family of four as they cleverly try to infiltrate an affluent household by posing as unrelated and highly qualified professionals. After a while, the situation goes awry with a series of unexpected events.

Director-screenwriter Bong Joon Ho masterfully orchestrated this movie from start to finish. There is not a dull moment or any down time in the 132 duration of “Parasite.” He co-wrote the screenplay with Han Jin-won. The film is in the Korean language with English subtitles, and the marvelous cast is headed by Song Kang-ho and Jang Hye-jin. The watchable “Parasite” was a big hit at the box office for Barunson E&A and CJ Entertainment. It was filmed in Seoul, South Korea.
