My Review

“Planet Dune” is a scifi film about a crew on a mission to rescue a marooned space ship on a desert planet. It turns deadly when they find themselves hunted and attacked by the planet’s main predators – giant sand worms. Directors Glenn Campbell and Tammy Klein put together this story that is related to the “Dune” franchise, but not part of the “Dune: Part One” that was released that very same year.

The star is Sean Young as the leader of the rescue ship. She starred in the original Dino De Laurentiis epic “Dune” (1984) as Chani, Paul Attreides’ girl friend. Co-stars of this one include Emily Killian, Anna Telfer, and Manny Zalvidar. The watchable “Planet Dune” is a direct-to-video movie from The Asylum, Acme Holding Company, and Atomic Blonde Entertainment.
