My Review

“Project Hail Mary” is a science fiction film about a science teacher who wakes up on a space ship with no recollection of how he got there. As his memory returns, the heavy drama proceeds from there, which will affect all of mankind back on Earth. Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller put together quite a cerebral scifi drama from an excellent screenplay by Drew Goddard. It was adapted from the 2021 novel by Andy Weir.

The film has excellent production values, good writing, outstanding special effects, and memorable performances, especially by Ryan Gosling in the lead role. His persona and talented acting skills dominate the entire film. Co-stars include Sandra Huller, James Ortiz, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, Milana Vayntrub, Orin Lee, Mia Soteriou, and Liz Kingsman as a backup scientist. The watchable “Project Hail Mary” is popular at the box office for producer Ryan Gosling, Pascal Pictures, Lord Miller Productions, Amazon MGM Studios, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It was filmed at various locations in England.
