“Ride” is a crime drama movie about a retired rodeo rider and ex-con who needs money for his daughter’s medical treatment, so he teams up with his son to rob banks. When their first heist goes awry, they must work overtime to outwit the pursing police officers. Unfortunately for viewers, director Jake Allyn does not deliver the goods with his unfocused direction from a sloppily written screenplay, which he co-wrote with Josh Plasse. This film is Allyn’s directorial debut in which he also has a supporting role.
