My Review

“Spa Weekend” is something of a modern-day screwball comedy which features three friends going on a spa weekend. Everything is going fine until their chaos-magnet friend joins them, with the comedy proceeds from there. Directors-screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore do a good job of putting together a whole string of comedic situations which flows well from start to finish. The screwball humor never stops.

The cast includes Leslie Mann, Anna Faris, and Michelle Buteau as the three friends, Isla Fisher as their uninvited guest, Adam Demos, Courtney Clarke, and Erika Haynatz as spa employees, and Dominic Ona-Ariki as Roger. The hilarious “Spa Weekend” was a box office bomb for Black Bear Pictures and Team Todd. It was filmed in Queensland, Australia.
