Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)

My Review

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” follows a fully isolated Peter Parker as he works as a street hero with no superpowers in a New York City that no longer remembers who he is. This is due to Dr. Stephen Strange casting a spell which caused the entire world forget that Peter Parker/Spider-Man ever existed, in order to save the universe. This took place at the end of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021), the third film. Director Destin Daniel Cretton (“The Glass Castle” 2017) did an excellent job of making this fourth film an exciting one with quality action sequences along with a storyline featuring outstanding character development principally in the performance of Tom Holland in the title role. It has a running time of 145 minutes.

The cast includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as Michelle Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Florence Pugh as Black Widow, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Tramell Tillman as Bill Metzger, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Zabryna Guevara as the Mayor of New York City.

The very exciting “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is (so far) the highest grossing film of 2026 for producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, Pascal Pictures, and Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and was filmed across the United Kingdom, with Glasgow, Scotland, filling in for New York, New York.

Tom Holland starred in the following films as Peter Parker/Spider-Man – “Homecoming” (2017), “Far From Home” (2019), “No Way Home” (2021), and “Brand New Day” (2016).
