My Review

“Teleios” is a science fiction murder mystery film about a deep-space mining ship which has been stranded off of Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, for two years without outside communication. A rescue vessel manned by “genetically perfect” humans is sent to investigate, and what they discover puts their lives at risk, and possibly endangers all of humanity. The heavy drama proceeds from there, due to the efforts of director-screenwriter Ian Truitner (“Cutting Room” 2006), who attempted to put together a futuristic outer-space murder mystery. He succeed with good production values, such as special effects, but endowed the project with a predictable plot and a slow moving storyline.

It could be called “Dullsville in the Stars.” The cast performances were at least passable, including Sunny Mabrey, Lance Broadway, Christian Pitre, Ursula Mills, John Posey, Mykel Shannon Jenkins, and Michael Nouri, only seen on taped transmissions from Earth. “Teleios” was released on streaming services, and does at least provide some escapist entertainment. It was produced by Thousand Mile Media, Screen Media Films, and Amazon Prime Video.
