The Adam Project (2022)

My Review

“The Adam Project” is a science fiction film about a fighter pilot in 2050 who accidentally flies back through time to 2022 where he meets his 12-year-old self. Director Shawn Levy (“Free Guy” 2021) deals with material we have seen before, albeit in a fresh way here. The pair must work together to prevent a dystopian future.

Ryan Reynolds is the star of the show, with Walter Scobell as the younger Reynolds. They have good chemistry along with good performances. This is young Walter’s feature motion picture debut. Co-stars include Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner as his parents, Catherine Keener, Zoe Saldana, and Alex Mallari Jr. The watchable “The Adam Project” was released on Netflix from Skydance, 21 Laps Entertainment, and Maximum Effort. It was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia.
