“The Bounty Hunter” is an action-comedy picture telling the story of a bounty hunter who has been hired to bring his wife to justice after she has skipped bail. This formula script has nothing new but is adequate entertainment based on the comedic abilities of stars Jennifer Anniston and Gerard Butler. There are plenty of laughs and gaffes in this picture, directed by Andy Tennant (“Hitch” 2005) with an acceptable screenplay by Sarah Thorp.
The supporting cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Jeff Garland, Cathy Moriarty, Ritchie Coster, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Peter Greene, Christian Borle, Christine Baranski, and Carol Kane. The entertaining and watchable “The Bounty Hunter” was successful at the box office for Columbia Pictures and Sony PIctures.
