My Review

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” returns with the same core cast after a twenty years absence. Director David Frankel (“The Devil Wears Prada” 2006) and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna gave this sequel high quality production values, good writing, and reliable performances by show business veterans. Anne Hathaway’s character returns to work for her old boss, played by Meryl Streep, to help the Runway magazine survive in a declining publishing industry.

The returning cast includes Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, joined by Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, and Lucy Liu. There are cameo appearances by Lady Gaga, Heidi Klum, Jenna Bush Hager, Donatella Versace, and Naomi Campbell. The watchable “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has been popular at the box office for Wendy Finerman Productions, 20th Century Studios, and The Walt Disney Company. It was filmed in New York City and Milan and Lake Como, Italy.
