Sloppy directing by Peter Cattaneo and terrible writing by Simon Beaufoy make this just an awful movie with bad production values and terrible performances beside.
The hapless and uncomely group is played by Tom Wilkinson, Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Steve Huison, Paul Barber, and Hugo Speer. Amazingly, the vapid film “The Full Monty” was a hit in theatrical release for Channel Four Films, Redwave Films, and Fox Searchlight Pictures. It won a single Academy Award for Best Original Musical or Comedy Score. It was filmed in jolly old England.
