“The Last Blockbuster” is a nostalgic documentary chronicling the rise, fall, and cultural impact of the Blockbuster Video chain of stores. It focuses on the last remaining franchise in Bend, Oregon, which is still open as of February, 2026. Director Taylor Morden and screenwriter-producer Zeke Kamm assembled a comprehensive look at the formerly popular video chain, although production values are often subpar.

The cast is headed by Sandi Harding, the manager of the last store, as well members of her family. and friends. Also featured are a number of celebrities discussing the impact of Blockbuster on their youth and on their career, including Adrian Brody, Jamie Kennedy, Brain Posehn, James Arnold Taylor, Doug Benson, Paul Scheer, Ron Funches, and Samm Levine. The watchable 86 minute documentary “The Last Blockbuster” was produced by Popmotion Pictures, September Club, and 1091 Pictures.
