The Poison Rose (2019)

My Review

“The Poison Rose” is a film noir crime drama movie about a private investigator who uncovers a series of murders and other dark secrets in his hometown in Texas. Directors George Gallo and Francesco Cinquemani put together a film with a confusing storyline, terrible dialogue, an atrocious screenplay, and appallingly bad acting. Nothing positive can be said about this film.

That is despite the prominent cast which includes John Travolta, Morgan Freeman, Famke Janssen, Brendan Fraser, Peter Stormare, Ella Blue Travolta (daughter of John Travolta and Kelly Preston), and Robert Patrick as Sheriff Walsh. The unwatchable “The Poison Rose” was a big flop at the box office for Grindstone Entertainment Group, Irvolino Entertainment, Millennium Media, and Lionsgate Films. It was filmed in Texas, Georgia, and Rome, Italy.
