My Review

“Twisters” is a disaster film about two groups of storm chasers competing with each other as they investigate a tornado outbreak in Oklahoma. Also getting into the act is a reckless social media star who thrives on posting his adventures, the more dangerous the better. The drama proceeds from there, fairly well managed by director Lee Isaac Chung and screenwriters Mark L. Smith and Joseph Kosinski.

The cast includes Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, Sasha Lane, Daryl McCormack, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, Katy O’Brian, and Paul Scheer as airport traffic police. “Twisters” was successful at the box office for producer Frank Marshall, Amblin Entertainment, The Kennedy/Marshall Company, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Universal Pictures. This film was a stand-alone sequel to “Twister” (1996) which starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. It was filmed in Oklahoma.
