Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland team up to find lost treasure from Ferdinand Magellan’s voyage of 1519 in “Uncharted.” This fast-moving action adventure picture was well directed by Ruben Fleischer (“Venom” 2018), with a tightly written screenplay by Rafe Lee Judkins, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway. It is based on the Uncharted video game, and filmed in Spain and Germany.
There is very little down time in this refreshing and entertaining movie viewable for the entire family. Holland and Wahlberg display good chemistry, with a supporting cast that includes Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and Rudy Pankow. The watchable “Uncharted” was a box office sensation for Columbia Pictures, A2 Productions, Atlas Entertainment, PlayStation Productions, and Sony Pictures Releasing.
