My Review

The talents of Russell Crowe are on full display as he plays an unstable man relentlessly stalking a young woman and her family after a road rage incident in “Unhinged.” Director Derrick Borte (“American Dreamer” 2019) and screenwriter Carl Ellsworth have kept an economical storyline and plot; it’s a tight 93 minute feature.

Crowe’s riveting performance dominates the film, with Caren Pistorius and Gabriel Bateman as the mother and son he is after. Co-stars include Jimmi Simpson, Austin P. McKenzie, Michael Papajohn, Lucy Faust, and Devyn Tyler. The watchable modern-day B-movie “Unhinged” broke even at the box office for Ingenious Media, Burek Films, and Solstice Studios. It was filmed in and around New Orleans, Louisiana.
