Villain (2020)

My Review

“Villain” is a British crime thriller about a criminal trying to go straight after being released from ten years in prison. However, he is drawn back into London’s underworld when he tries to help his drug-addicted younger brother. Steady and consistent direction by Philip Barantini (in his feature film debut) make this motion picture watchable from start to finish. The well written screenplay by George Russo and Greg Hall helped out tremendously.

The mostly UK cast includes Craig Fairbrass, George Russo, Mark Monero, Izuka Hoyle, Michael John Treanor, Robert Glenister, Taz Skylar, and Nicholas Aaron as Steve. The watchable “Villain” was only released in select theaters, streaming channels, and video-on-demand for White Hot Productions, Medium Kool Films, Double Dutch International, and Vertigo Releasing. It was filmed in London, UK.
