Without Remorse (2021)

My Review

Michael B. Jordan plays a U. S. Navy SEAL who is out for revenge for his wife’s murder and in the process uncovers a massive government conspiracy in “Without Remorse.” Italian director Stefano Sollima put together quite a taut action-adventure film adapted from the 1993 novel of the same name by Tom Clancy. The screenplay was written by Taylor Sheridan and Will Staples, a good example of fun escapist programming.

The cast is headed by Michael B. Jordan, who delivers another one of his excellent performances. Jordan is a good example of a modern-day John Wayne, who was also an action star and a fine craftsman. Co-stars include Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Jacob Scipio, Colman Domingo, and Guy Pearce as the Secretary of Defense. “Without Remorse” was digitally released on Prime Video in April, 2021, from Paramount Pictures, Skydance Media, New Republic Pictures, and Amazon Studios. It was filmed in Germany, California, and Washington, D. C.
