Woman on the Run (1950)

My Review

“Woman on the Run” is a crime drama about a woman who must find her husband, who is running from the law, to let him know he has a grave heart condition, which she just found out from his doctor. Director Norman Foster put together an interesting noir picture with good acting and excellent writing. The director and Alan Campbell wrote the screenplay.

The cast includes Ann Sheridan, Dennis O’Keefe, Robert Keith, Ross Elliot, John Qualen, Frank Jenks, Joan Shawlee, Steven Geray, and Milton Kibbee. The watchable black-and-white “Woman on the Run” was a production of Fidelity Pictures Corporation and Universal Pictures. It was based on a story called “Man on the Run” published in American Magazine in 1948.
