You, Me and Dupree (2006)

My Review

“You, Me and Dupree” is a comedy film about a couple returning to Los Angeles from their Hawaii honeymoon when they allowed a friend to move in with them who is down on his luck, including losing his job. Numerous misadventures proceed from there, sparking all sort of drama and comedy. It was well handled by directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo (“Avengers: Endgame” 2019) from the lucid screenplay by Michael LaSieur.

The cast includes Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon as You and Me, Owen Wilson as Dupree, Michael Douglas as her father, Seth Rogan, Bill Hader, Lance Armstrong, Harry Dean Stanton, and Pat Crawford Brown as Aunt Kathy. “You, Me and Dupree” was a box office success for producer Owen Wilson, Stuber-Parent Productions, and Universal Pictures. It was filmed in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and in Hawaii.
